Melbourne’s best wedding venues.
May 12, 2015
As a Melbourne wedding band in demand, Lark is fortunate to see some fantastic venues.
Beautiful views, wine, cheese… dessert! During each couple’s speeches we get to try each one’s menu and develop a relationship with each venue’s staff, as we flit in and out, month to month.
We can barely hold back the excitement of checking our diaries each Monday to find the pleasure of whose company we will be in that weekend. It could be the culinary king that is Vue De Monde, the beachside swank of St Kilda’s Encore, the old world charm of Quat Quatta or the spectacular city views of South Melbourne’s Luminaire.
To be able to play music for people’s biggest life events is a hell of a job, but hanging out in great spaces makes it a whole lot better.
Whilst doing some research the other day, we came across this fantastic list of Melbourne’s top 100 venues in Melbourne by South Australian Photographer Nicholas Purcell. You’ll see us asterisk next to the places that we have performed at and a smiley face next to the venues that we absolutely adore.
There are heaps of great venues missing, like some of our favourites; At the Heads, Abbotsford Convent or Collingwood Children’s Farm, but maybe we’ll compile our own list next year. Read on!
