When it comes to choosing a wedding band, musician or DJ, it is very easy to feel that you’re hosting your very own music festival; Metallica for the introductions, Kanye West for the first dance and only songs from Radiohead’s Amnesiac during the dance sets! Whilst we love all of these artists, and try to sneak in some of their greatest hits occasionally, if your guests don’t dance, we haven’t done our job. Bloc Party might be your choice of pre-night out warm up music, but to your partners’ grandparents on table 5, the teenagers smoking in the courtyard and your conservative Dad, it may not be the party starters you’d hoped for.

Let’s not forget… it’s your wedding day and you should be able to have whatever music you like, but there’s also your guests to consider. It won’t be much of a party if you two are the only ones on the D floor.

Our slogan, ‘Live music for special occasions. Designed by you’ is our mantra, and we swear by it. It’s our approach that we learn the most special songs for the day and allow you some creativity in choosing the style and feel of the band line-up. We know a whole lot of different musical styles and it really helps us shape an event’s musical style knowing what you like listening to in the car and what you hate! So whether it’s walking down the aisle, your first dance or farewell, choose whatever you like, make it unique to you, and if you have no ideas, we’re happy to step in and help out.

Melbourne is so full of choice when it comes to wedding bands. Whether you’re after a salsa band, an acoustic guitarist or a jazz quartet, we think the best way to select your wedding entertainment is to grab some family and friends and go for a night out! You could grab yourself a glass of bubbly and a meal by attending one of our regular showcases. We think our showcases are pretty fun and reckon it could help make your choice a bit easier.

Our main goal, always, is to ensure that as many of your guests get up and have a dance as possible. The best way of achieving this is by having a song list that caters for each genre and all age groups, something that we’ve been working on for some time. All killer, no filler. We’ll read the crowd and guarantee that we can get all of your guests dancing by calling the right tune at the right time.

With all that said; it’s your special day so don’t be afraid to ask for exactly what it is you want. We are, after all, providing a soundtrack for one of your greatest memories.
